Statement of work by Zachary Mos:
My heart and my soul are in life and with Nature. It is not a mastery of just one simple brushstroke that separates itself from the others; rather, it is the collective understanding of what you see, what you saw, and what you want to give to the world. I want to inspire hope, charisma, and courage.
I want to create a sense of will, for people to bring the Arts back to the glorious years of the Medici. I empathize with where art is heading and the impacts that we are making for LBGTQ, social justice, and political problems that our world is facing, but that is not entirely what art is. Art is about beauty, ecstasy, art is about establishing new life and then nurturing that life into existence.
Oscar Wilde explains, in The Picture of Dorian Gray “one should absorb the color of life, but one should never remember its details. Details are always vulgar”. And from that, you must not simply focus on the details of life because you will become lost and absorbed in their aperture—and you will rot, as Dorian did. We should enjoy our species beauty, for its imperfections. In this lifetime, I will neither succumb nor falter to do what I am here to do on this planet and in the galaxy. The world is prepared for the great instruments of our existence to push us in the direction of a proper zenith.
I want to aid the human civilization in the transition towards this pinnacle and establish a sense and understanding of nature and its undistinguishable power to help one become––divine.
